The list has been narrowed down. We are all excited to see if we get the bid, but it is still a long time off. England is the favorite for 2018 and we are for 2022. Let's hope Sunil and the rest impress them.
I'm still surprised that Chicago wasn't selected. I think there is more behind it than what they are saying. Don't be surprised if things change. Too bad St. Louis is not in the mix. I also wish they'd get an MLS club. My hometown, the Bay Area, is only out because there is no great stadium. Let's hope the Niners finally build their stadium in Santa Clara so it can happen there.
The final list will be trimmed to 9-12 cities, Downs is still hoping for 14. As of now, here are the 18:
